Hello folks, how is your summer going? Mine still hasn’t begun: so tell me about yours and I’ll feel better, maybe.

Today I brought you some top class dessert for your summer meals.

You probably have heard about Radiohead, right? Yeah, exactly: that strange british band with an ugly frontman whose music is one of the most refined in the world.

Their 2007 album In Rainbows features a very nice little song, called House Of Cards. And this is its video.

Don’t get fooled by the apparent simplicity of the song (even though it’s not simple at all). This video is completely crazy.

It looks like a regular one, but as soon as I’ll tell you how they did it, you will get blown away.

First of all: no camera is used at all. Everything is shot in real time 3D scanning. They used 3D plotting techniques, featuring a LIDAR (Light Detection And Range): basically a revolving laser shooter that scans the environment, sending the data to a computer and creating a peculiar 3D model.

The whole footage has been recorded this way. Then everything has been put together and synchronized with the music.

If you wish to know better about how this video has been made, check out the official making of.

Fantastic, isn’t it!? Well done Yorke and buddies. Once again you’re on top!
