Hey there, guys!

Today I have very fresh stuff for you! This is the brand new video of some good ol’ rock and roll friends of mine: the Queens Of The Stone Age, band captained by that crazy Josh Homme guy!

They’re realeasing a new album in the first week of June, and so they’re boosting the hype now.

This video, in particular, was directed by Boneface, a super talented chap.

The technical part is quite simple to explain: it is a (very beautifully spooky) simple 2D animation of some illustrations. The process is very intuitive: once those awesome illustrations are made, they were imported for example in Photoshop, cut in pieces on separated layers, brought to After Effects and animated in synch with the music.

This is always a strong choice: illustration is a super effective language, if done well.
And this time they nailed it. It’s a pleasure for your eyes!
