Atoms For Peace is an experimental rock & electronic supergroup formed in late 2009 in Los Angeles, California. The group consists of Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, and piano), Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich (keyboards, synths), Joey Waronker of Beck & R.E.M. (drums) and Brazilian instrumentalist Mauro Refosco (percussion). Their debut album, Amok, became available for streaming on February 18, 2013, and was released on February 25, 2013.
While scheduled for release on 10 September 2012, “Default” was made available for sale on iTunes on 6 September.At this point, Thom Yorke announced on the Radiohead website details of the song’s release, saying, “The first tune we’d like you to hear is Default. A 12″ vinyl version will follow next month and an album will eventually follow that next year. “
On 26 September, details of the vinyl release were announced, stating that the track “What the Eyeballs Did” would serve as the single’s B-side.
This video animation is really simple: It’s based on the white and black color and stylised graphic that clearly remind us of the album Amok art-work.
