You guys certanly know Tenaciuos D, Kyle Gass and Jack Black. If not, you should know them! Their duo is rockin’ since 1994, but the world is aware of their skills only since a decade (sad but true), when they found glory with the film Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny. Rize of the Fenix is the first track of the homonymous third studio album by the American rock band, released on May 15, 2012. It is the band’s first studio release in six years, since 2006. The artwork of the cover is a little ambiguous, if you know what i mean…

I watched the video like ten times and everytime I see it, I see a new spectacular detail which makes me laugh like an idiot, but it makes me also appreciate the genius of this two guys and the directors (Daniels again! Here you can find another video they made).
As you can see, this video is made with a “sapient” use of green screen and a lot of digital effects. It’s a brilliant work that mocks all those trashy and low-budget music videos. It reminds me Mark Gormley’s Matesterpiece: Without You, which was intended to be serious.

Trust me, you will not be wasting your time if you spend it watching this again and again.
