“The Veldt” is the last creation of Deadmau5 (aka Joel Thomas Zimmerman) featuring Chris James, a song inspired by the short story “The World The Children Made.

‘This song and this video are a tribute to the writer Ray Bradbury who has died at 91 after a lengthy career of writing everything from science fiction to mystery and humor.
“The story describes a world in which technology has consumed the culture so much that the outside world has virtually disappeared”, the two main characters are Peter and Wendy (but this is not the magical story of Peter Pan, is much darker) two kids obsessed by virtual reality are running in the savannah where lions and vultures are eating bloody remains of other animals:
“Happy life, with the machines”.

For the video clip, Manroop Takhar – from the UK production house Qudos Animations – it has been created the world of “The Veldt” in the style of the Xbox 360 arcade sensation LIMBO.
The result is a dark-techno-world where technology and wildness match and clash.
