…and when you see the Bruce Willis’ bastard face, you know that it will gets tough…

In an atmosphere that reminds me of Tarantino’s “Death Proof” and the on-the-road-horror Zombie’s “The Devil’s Rejects” (plus a touch of mystic), something went wrong for the three members ofGorillaz: Murdoc, 2D and Cyborg Noodle who finds herself with a bullet hole in her head.

Their 1969 Chevrolet Camaro (with “Stylo” written on the front grille) has a hard time: it’s all bullet-riddled and smoking like an old Russian, but it has the force to speed down the California’s road at the sunset.

With ‘Stylo’, Jamie Hewlett (and co-director Pete Candeland) brings to life his (and Albarn’s, of course) characters in 3D for the first time, with the help, for the cgi parts, of London-based award winning company Passion Pictures, achieving a very good result mixing 3D and live action.
One of the hardest task was to clean up the interior of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in order to place Murdoc, 2D and Cyborg Noodle instead of human stunt: studio Munky was asked by Passion Pictures to achieve the best result, they says: “we employed a load of 2D and 3D techniques and a pinch of lateral thinking to remove the stunt drivers in all shots”

Apart from the surprise to see 3D version of Gorillaz, the best reason to watch ‘Stylo’ is to enjoy the fucking Bruce Willis in a red 1968 Chevrolet El Camino who shoots to our hero with his arrogant smile.
And if you like the three characters of the band you totally should watch .
