The video that we present today was one of the works presented by Memo Akten during Offf 2012 – Unknown disorder.

Memo Akten is a visual artist, director, musician, engineer, hacker, mad scientist based in London, UK. Works at The Mega Super Awesome Visuals Company and Marshmallow Laser Feast.
He describes himself by saying “I Investigate and visualize the invisible Relationships Within images, space, movement, sound and time. (…) I Develop and Appropriate new technologies, designing systems to invent new ways of creating and performing images and sound.” and was responsible for the graphics for this video.

The video of Depeche Mode single “Fragile Tension”, was directed by Rob Chandler & Barney Steel of The Found Collective, and commissioned by John and Moule. It’s a set of images of people dancing and images of the band, who were previously captured and introduced into a new software that analyzes – “in real-time outputs visualizations based on motion and numerous user-controlled parameters to adjust the behaviour, look & feel, various different modes etc.”, creating this kind of effects.

Fragile Tension could not be better represented.

This video clip has some similarities with the video Waiting For The End, of Linkin Park. If you like this kind of videos we encourage you to take a look!
