When Wyatt Neumann met Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, aka the Bloody Beetroots he actually didn’t have much time to think. There was no real concept, no cast, no props, no cameras, nothing… The idea was very simple they went out in the desert and destroyed everything. They shoot with guns, drink beer, smoke weed, trash a car, get naked, get drunk, race motorcycles. Just acting like real rockers. I also recognized a little tribute to The Big Lebowski when we see Sir Bob dressed just like the Dude.

Two days later they took on the road with a 1980 Camaro, 4 cameras, 3 metal heads I met at a bar, Marilyn, 8 cases of beer, a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, a .45 semi auto, a bag of weed and tons of ammo. They just got drunk all the beer, smoked all the weed, trespassed, got invited in, got kicked out, broke and entered, shot guns (in CA, which has to be a felony), smashed bottles, scared people, the car broke down, people fucked, people bled. Unscripted, unrehearsed and pretty much about as run and gun as it gets…

Now let’s talk about technical sh*t. The cameras were located both outside and inside the vehicle. We can clearly see that they used some wide-angle lens inside and some parts of the video (most of them at the beginning and not when they started filming in the city) are made with filters. Some of the filters have a really pink vintage style but the ones inside the car develop a 3D view.

Enjoy this crazy rock race!
