“Instrumenti”, the Latvian electro indie pop duo, presents their newborn creature: the video for their song “Don’t Hold Onto Me”, directed by Uģis Olte, who is also the author of the documentary “TRU LIVE: RELIVED” included in the band’s first live concert DVD/BluRay.

It tooks hours of hard work: this is a good black and white stop motion, with multiple exposures and a good taste for mixing togheter music and light. I agree with the choice of including it between Vimeo’s Staff Picks.

The idea behind the video, as Olte explains in this wonderful “behind the scenes“, was created by the passage of the song itself – it starts as a calm and predictable march, but turns into this unexpected and dark animalistic howling.
