Maybe you need a radar detector to discover Darwin Deez, one of the most interesting indie artist of the last period, equally innovative in terms of music and visual experimentation.
This clip is a lucid pop delirium, approachable to Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Can’t Stop” video for its visual atmospheres. What stands out on the whole is probably the feeling of handmade transmitted to the observer, who is catapulted into a childlike world made of bizarre readymade, teleportation machines and waffel typography.
We can therefore say that “Radar Detector” is a top video, maybe too hipster, but nevertheless a great job, it is not a coincidence that the director has already collaborated with artists like Simian Mobile Disco, She & Him, and Patrick Wolf.
