Yuksek is the pseudonym of Pierre-Alexandre Busson, DJ and remixer French born in 1977 in Reims.
“Yuksek” in Turkish means “height, elevation,” but maybe he didn’t know, and maybe he didn’t know that his name would appear so high in the music charts. His career began in the band Klanguage as bassist, but he soon discovered his passion for electronic music and the consolle becomes the natural extension of his hands.
In the video Yuksek is traveling by train, while he is sleeping the train’s window behind him turns into a magic screen where are flowing real and imaginary landscapes, trees, lakes, railroad tracks, clouds, storms weather and storms of colors, jellyfish, houses, faces, swirls, stars. “…Head off I would rather live on a train”, a fantasy world made up of thoughts, dreams and real visions, where nothing can go wrong.
The father of this world is Cédric Blaisbois, a filmmaker and art director who worked with The Subs, Saul Williams, Mr Flash, Huoratron.
It’s really hard define his style, this director is a chameleon, he adapts perfectly his direction to the group and the music style. He seems to have no stylistic canon but maybe this is the peculiarity that will give him fame.
Yuksek and Cédric together “go like a train”!
