“Today I’m gonna tell you a story about man who drowned in cold waters of ocean. After the loss of loved one. It’s story about man who died twice.”

BEAUTIFUL, PURE, CLEAN, DRAMATIC, DEEP, THEATRICAL, ELEGANT.

I could go on and on with these kind of adjectives to describe this video and in general, Yoann Lemoine/Woodkid aesthetic taste and music, but a list of words might be boring to read.
My reaction to the video, the same reaction that can be found in many others viewers, falls perfectly into the expectations of the marketing plan that the Artist is using: invest everything on the video, let it speak and be the only voice to promote the project.
After Iron and Run Boy Run here’s the third newborn single and video by Woodkid, I Love You that features the Russian model Matvey Lykov as the priest/organist shown in a personal journey into nature, devastated and rotten from the inside at the end.

Nature has a strong part in the video, a landscape for a lonely man, and at the same time, his tomb.
The cinematography quality is stunning; if the world had to loose all its colors and be redesigned in black and white, let’s all pray that Arnaud Potier will be free to be the one who paint it.

Have a look at Highsnobiety’s interview with the artist to get deeper into his art:
