Hip hop beatmaking was born as a collage of pieces of music from various sources (most of the time old funky vinyls) with heavy pumping drums added.
This concept has been transposed in the field of videomaking by Jason Goldwatch in the video you can see above.  
Obviously, since we are in 2012, he used the Internet as a source for video samples. Gifs and memes are combined and mixed generating new images with new meanings, pushing forward that process of “remixing” informations we can see everyday on social networks.  
At last low resolution images, distortions and badly photoshopped special effects give this video the right amount of dirt that create an unmistakable hip-hoppish mood.
