UK DJ/producer Riton, known for his collaboration with the late DJ Mehdi as Carte Blanche, and Club Cheval member Canblaster teamed up to form Symphony Hall, a collaboration between the two producers that has seen them release their One Night Stand EP on Marble, the label founded by French heavyweight DJs/producers Surkin and Para One.

And after a while, the title track from the EP sees the release of a video, directed by Thibaud Noyer (Boston Bun) and Quentin Lepoutre (Myd / Club Cheval), that places digital projections of singer Jay Norton over his own eyes-closed face. An exploration of image projection, the video’s most captivating shots find Norton (or another vocalist’s) visage mapped onto the stone faces of the production duo. The image projections are well done on different surfaces, such as cars, vocalist and the flags. There are different scenes in between with lasers and smokey shoots.

The song itself is excellent. To the untrained ear, it could be mistaken for a remix of an unreleased track from Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveSounds LP. As if this song couldn’t get any better, Symphony Hall even added some chop-n-screwed goodness to the backdrop of Jay Norton’s killer vocals to rev up the song’s drugged out RnB vibe. Making us hope that this collaboration between Riton and Canblaster is more than just a one night stand. Fingers crossed.
