When I was a kid my sister had this lamp, it was a lava lamp, and I liked it so much that I stared at it for hours.
Well in this video looks like the charachters swim in it. Even though they are not actually swimming in it, the director (Nico Beyer) wanted to give us the impression.

Cutting the crap, we have this dreamy scenario of people swimming / drowning in a pool with their clothes on like an after-party, mixed with coloured smoke that gives that lava lamp effect.
And of course everything in slow-mo.

I have to admit that, at first, I was skeptic about this video, you know, I like stories and this video basically tells nothing; then after a few times I actually loved it: the mixing of people that are swimming / drowning /flying in this environment made of “I-don’t-know-what” really made me wonder.

The mastery in the use of light is impressive, as you may notice, the charachters are enlighted by lights on every side, giving an incredible and surreal “lights and shades” effect; hypotizing that the video was shot in a swimming pool, there must have been lighting worthy the biggest christmas tree.
Of course the director, to make such an amazing effect used directors of photography with balls, in this case we talk about Rodolphe Seraphine.
Master Seraphine.

Another, and maybe the most, interesting part of the video is here . Nico Beyer wanted to let us appreciate even more the motion and the lighting, that are the main part of the video, by releasing an interactive video where basically you can control the motion of the charachters by moving your arrow left or right, or changing the colour of the smoke.
Maybe this is what the video needed, in first place, to be a really good video.

I have never been on acid but that’s how I imagine the trip would be.
