Ladies and Gentlemen we're proud to introduce you the new gods of Witch house: The Purity Ring.
Megan James and Corin Roddick respectively 24 and 21 ages formed Purity Ring in 2010. They were originally two of several members of the band Gobble Gobble but during a tour they decided to experiment something different. So grew up this wacky duo (based out of Montreal) where Megan plays piano and sings, and Corin takes care of the rest.
Belispeak is the first official video from the upcoming debut album out July 24th on 4AD.
 
The clip's director is BREWER, Ben and Alex, two brothers originally from Massachusetts now living in Los Angeles. They have worked with The War On Drugs, Steve Aoki, Lovefoxxx, Volta Bureau, Dream Cop and Blue Hawaii.
 
"Belispeak" doesn't mean normal tummy-rumbles, but terrible stomach cramps caused by the nightmare described by the song's lyrics and the images. Megan is wading her way through a swamp, her pupils are dilated and she seems dazed. The scene is apocalyptic and ominous and the electronic melody in the background looks like an alien whimper.
 
Everything is perfectly tuned but this time the treble clef is the Uncanny.
