An animated paper cuts collage, based on the principle of sampling and remixing where real footages, cgi and graphics are combined together, nothing new, nothing old, but something to share and write about for sure.

Phonat is Michele Balduzzi, an italian young producer (italians couldn’t stop making themselves notice after Wannaplaydaily’s Italian Week), who worked with Yolanda Quarter’s voice for Ghetto Burnin, now, he’s not so famous and known among the majority of the crowds, Skrillex says “Phonat is EASILY the most underrated producer out there now. Fuck, he’s amazing. I do not know why he isn’t the biggest thing out there.”
We don’t want to judge that because that’s not our primary field, so let’s talk about the video, the thing that matters to us.

Hello Savant! is an Amsterdam based collective of long time friends, whom achieved some nice targets working for worldwide famous brands and artist. They worked with Phonat, with whom they share the native country, several times, and this one they played with the combination of different texture and graphics, the animation is like a moving collage, a kind of contemporary Mimmo Rotella’s moving painting, we’re not going to elevate this video as a work of art, but we must say it’s pretty well done and the timing of the animation really can catch up with the music.
