Which could be the best beginning for a relationship? No way: the one with a gorgeous present and The Reeling, as all the esteemed gifts, do has an important and so-meticulous-that-drive-you-crazy wrapping papers all around it. That’s mine to you all!

What are you waiting for? Push Play button and.. RIP ALL THE PAPER OUT!
I’m not gonna lie telling you all I do not really know if Sam Stephens, Ariel Danziger and John Hobbs properly started from the idea of the gift wrap to shoot the video but this is the mood you go through watching it: slash by slash viewers’ repressed childish curiosity grow more and more waiting for the moment in which you find out what’s behind all these!
The three American directors use to work on their own but they have signed together the video with the name of their collective. To give the wrapping-away-paper-effect, to begin with the complete video has been normally shot; then in a second moment each frame of the film has been printed on paper to create the ripped effect. Everything is perfectly combined with stop motion: magic.

So, now, what’s then under each slash? What is the real present about? 4 minutes and 48 seconds of sensorial euphoria thanks to the twisting and pressing melody which does create a dancing feel good time mood.

(Special thanks to Francesca Saporito for her great help)
