For sure, OK Go are not in the top position of mondial charts, but they always know how to make peolpe talk about them thanks to their video, often viral.

We have already published “All Is Not Lost“, an interactive HTML5-powerade videovlip, and “Needing/Getting“, where they play (letteraly) a Chevrolet; now is the turn of “Skyscrapers”, a colorful nice tango.
“Skyscrapers” was released in 2010, so it’s evident that OK Go isn’t exactly the most punctual with their music video releases. But sure they knows their way around catchy music videos.

The video features two tango dancers throwing out some pretty sexy moves, quintessentially dreamy, in a series of colorfully monochromatic and romantic cityscapes. Scenes and dancers’ dress change their colors, like in a elegant and vibrant urban rainbow, but tango does not stop.
The featured dancers are Moti Buchboot and Trish Sie, the well-known choreographer who created, choreographed, co-produced and co-directed OK Go’s viral treadmill dance video for “Here It Goes Again” and also directed this video.

Filming and editing was deceptively complex, with the dancers moving in and out of the frames to make it appear like one continuous shot. And with 16 outfit changes, the wardrobe costs for this shoot must have been not the cheapest!
The final effect is brillinat, absolutely a clever video.
