For the 5th day of our Italian Week we have choosen Negramaro, with their fabulous video of Io non lascio traccia. This particular video, directed by Marco Missano, is full of strong literary, film and theater references, a tribute to Carmelo Bene and theater in general. The attention is placed in particular to the social column of Teatro Valle (see the poster at 0:40sec or the theater reproduction at sec 2:42), that was occupied against the culture’s cut (June 14th, 2011).
Technically, the video is made using a concrete mini-set, molded silicone puppets and stop motion. It was used 25 frames per second instead of the usual 12, for the whole clip, so it really seems to be filmed. In the montage was used also video editing effects (especially lights) in order to increase the video-effect.
At the end of the video appear this message: “The set of this video were realized using only recycled cardboard, personally collected by the production staff from the shops that were disused it”. Again is underlined the social involvement of that band.
