Hey there, folks!

Ready for Christmas, already? I definitely am!

I love this time of the year. It’s the only time in which even a grumpy bastard like me feels joyful!

And get ready to lighten up your Christmas with Wanna! We’re not going to close during these holidays, of course!

I’m presenting you a very tasty video today.

It’s the videoclip for Monsieur Periné’s track La Muerte, created and directed by Jose Arboleda. It is brand new, it came out just a couple of weeks ago!

This tune is very cool. I like swingy stuff and it’s quite funny to listen. And the video is very cool, too!

It’s a nicely crafted 2D animation that tells freely the story of the lyrics.

In the beginning we have a pure stop motion part. Drawings were printed and the stage and setting were created by hand. Then shot and mounted with the software.

The remaining part of the video is made with a computer: the drawings were imported in the software and they were given life through it. Generally this process requires the drawings to be scanned, imported in something like Photoshop, corrected and divided in layers (in order to be able to move single parts). The second part is on something like After Effects, where the actual animation process takes place. Movement, effects, fake 3D ambients and everything else can be created with this kind of softwares.

The process is, in its nature, not so complicated. But the quality of the result is very high. This kind of works require a big amount of taste, in order to be beautiful. And this one definitely is!

So, just enjoy it!

See you, guys!
