It’s summer time! What you have to do is just have fun, smile, be happy and love! You could feel the sunshine on your skin, have nothing to worry about and live like you were in a cartoon! And who could bring you in a cartoon, if not Mika? The video we suggest for this third day of Summer Heat is Lollipop!

Lollipop is a song from his 2007 debut album, Life in Cartoon Motion.
Mika wrote this song as a warning to his younger sister, saying her not to have sex too soon, because it wouldn’t be the same feeling for the guys she will go with.

The animated music video was realized in November 2007 by a Franch collective named Bonzom.
Five Franch animators (Jack, Kalkair, Pozla, Waterlili and Moke), specialized in all aspects of 2D animation from traditional drawn animation to Flash, give life to the Life in Cartoon Motion album illustrations. The video wants to be a parody of Little Red Riding Hood.

The “Lollipop Girl” is walking around a colourful land, full of bizarre and fairy characters. The music video was originally set to contain a drawn version of Mika singing, but the plans change and here we have, as say, the “Lollipop Girl”. The black wolf is lieing in wait for her, but who could think about black wolf and be afraid of him, if is rounded by candy? Stay in a lollypop world, “or love’s gonna get you down”!
