Inga Danysz is an interesting videomaker with a distinguish style. If you watch on her Vimeo channel you’ll find out why. The colour grey, naked models (althought there aren’t NSFW contents) and pale, faded photography are the main elements of her iconography.
You could say she is a minimalist, and you would be right. She gives me the impression of trying to remove anything unnecessary: clothes, colours, redundant sequencies; she leaves only the essential.
This philosophy fits very well the artists she produces videos for, they make a lo-fi style of minimal house/techno which, apart from using very few elements, uses also classic synth sounds like the Roland tb-303 or tr-909, with really few post production effects. The minimalism of minimalism, we could say.
I think this is a little bit boring to see and hear, but it’s worth watching. It has personality and I find it’s really inspiring too.
