Madeon (Hugo Pierre Leclercq) is an electro house/pop producer from France, who gained popularity by means of his video Pop Culture, which was published to YouTube and subsequently received millions of hits in its first few days of broadcast on the Internet. And then came the fame.

This is the video for his new EP, The City, directed by Tim Brown. He used the slow motion to focus on the materic quality of the color, which is presented like a dusty pigment thrown like a bullet. To put an emphasis on the idea of fight, he used a fast editing, with fast cuts, opposed to the slow motion.
Ok, maybe this is not the most original video that Wanna Play Daily has shown to you, but sure this is a remarkable one. Sometimes we also like to focus on concepts, not only on “how they have been made”. And when I saw this video, I suddenly remembered this other one, and I tought about the meaning of the color in our gray cities, and about the role of young people, who, sometimes, try to pull out the best of the place they are living in. In my opinion, this video is like a ode to Creativity.
