Yes, the title is similar to the one of a video we published some day ago, , but we have a different song and a different artist now: Kalle Wainio, a Canadian pop-folk songwriter, who started writing and performing songs at the age of seventeen under the pseudonym “Kalle Mattson.”
But Kalle was also a lucky guy, because he got in touch with Kevin Parry, a great animator and cinematographer who directed this video, and Andrea Nesbitt, a photographer who spent many hours filming the footage for this video. Yes, it probably took a lot of time, beacause it’s a great composition made of timelapse photography held together with fantastic swish pans. The result is an extraordinary effect that can provoke vertigos. if that wasn’t enough, Kevin added some hypnotic wheels. What an annoying one!
«I challenged myself to capture the emotion and pace of the song with wherever this technique would take me. I chose the ‘hypnosis’ visuals to thematically tie the video together and layered that over top of the non-narrative exploration of San Francisco.» Parry told The Huffington Post. And he achieved his goal.
