Who said that music videos must have a rhythmic and fast editing?
It could help to keep the attention of the viewer on the screen, but there’s someone who doesn’t need this escamotage. His name is Patrick Daughters and he directed this fabulous video for Feist‘s One Two Three Four.

Let’s begin talking about the singer. Born in 1976, Canadian singer and songwriter, Leslie Feist is performing both as a solo artist and as a member of the indie rock group Broken Social Scene. Our video of today is actually her most popular single (it won the 2008 Juno Award as Single of the Year), co-written by the australian Sally Seltmann and part of her third album The Reminder (you can listen to it here).

Now what about the videoclip? It’s an explosion of colors, people dancing with the singer as it was a party where she is (obviously!) the protagonist.
The video was shot in an empty warehouse and all in only one take. It’s incredible how hard it had to be to not make mistakes for a length of 3 min and 14 seconds!

We suggest you to watch also to the making of, the most interesting part of every good video!

You’ll be able to notice that only at the end it was made a little correction in the editing room: they deleted from the background some part of the bodies that were not perfectly hidden by Feist.

PS:  Pitchfork Media deemed the video the fifth best video of the decade, while Blender named the video #2 on The Top 10 Music Videos of 2007.
