Hi there!
Today we suggest you this french band: Duellum. It doesn’t take so long to understand something about them, just go on their website to see a giant GIF giving you the welcome!
Duellum is formed by “four parisian frenchmen with english-sounding names, holding love in their arms” as they define themselves and they also have a tumblr blog where they post videos, photos and a lot of other stuff.
The music video for their song The ISLD (abbreviation of island) took our attention and here we are to suggesting it to you.
The videoclip was directed by Nicolas Davenel & Thomas Delebecque and is technically very simple: 80′s animation for transit from a scene to the next one , giant fruits flying in the air (were created in 3D) and shootings of the band playing in a studio.
We are inside a world made of all those common stereotypes about islands: hawaiian shirts, pina colada, palms, sea, girls in bikini, exotic fruits (this last thing reminds me about this videoclip by Tenacious D)!
As final treatment the two directors opted for an early TV color filter, that makes all the video more coherent and fluent.
