How to combine dubstep and hip hop and not sounding like Pitbull on Back in Time, America’s got to learn.

Aside from the music, they have something really really avant-garde, they have a visual arts team that does photography, video and paintings and play a major part in the creation of the Dope D.O.D. universe. They are the following 4 individual artists: Walker Pachler, Andres Fouche, Anton and Ruben van der Linden; it’s a creative family that work together as one.

Talking about Pachler, he takes the credit for the direction of this stunning video, but is mainly the music and the words that shape the video: the lyrics actually tells the camera what to do and it obeys. Mostly what makes the difference are the details, the transitions are always different and unusual (as we like it), how the colours switch from Black and White to normal following the beat, how he plays with the physics of the camera, letting the guys in the video interact with it, glasses with magic lens, and.. just watch the video.

A couple of direction notes: check out how the scenes go from fast transition in the beginning, to long tracking shot in the end, that makes even more aware of the decadent landscape of the dutch ghetto, that looks pretty much like a post nuclear war zone. Suck it, Bronx.

Another info: it looks like it was shot with a 5d Mark II camera.

In the end I have to say that this statement of power in rhymes is making us hopeful for the hip hop future.
Big Up for the european brothers.
