The Crocodiles, californian band formed in 2008, released their new record ‘Endless Flowers‘ in June, 2012, yes 2012, not 1982, like we could misunderstand watching their video (if we were that naive to think that things are what they seem to be, nothing more and nothing less).

Endless Flower is more that it seems to show, its style is nothing but old fashioned Eighties-look: colors, smoke, heart shaped frames-masks, overlapping images, languid eyes, but there’s more, there’s a sort of creepiness in the girl’s shots that change the mood.
The girl tattooed herself with the band name in the first frames of the videoclip and than it all escalate until she squeeze an heart smiling with creepy eyes, the eyes of a fangirl imagining her favorite band playing in her room.
The particulars and the still-life sets are some nice breaks and contribute to create the mood.

If you are a fan of the overlapping technique I suggest to you The way in by Porcelain Raft and Hangin on by Ellie Goulding ft. Tinie Tempah but if you are a fan of the ’80s you absolutely can’t miss Nero’s Reaching out.
