Get your phonographs ready for the second album of the electro-swing and jazz band Caravan Palace, Panic, and for this special song: Rock It For Me!
From two years of hard work, they created wonderful tracks of old style music, mixed with electronic. Smells like a modern steampunk!
The wonderful video is a mixture of 3D and 2D animation, with the fabulous drawings of Ugo Gattoni, and it takes place during the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris, but, as you can see, aliens invade our planet and the government decides to strike back with a dancing robot (I hope you’ll understand that this never happened in the real world).
As you can see, there’s a dominant blue color in an old style effects, which resembles those classy daguerreotypes of that century; I know, you can also see some red objects around: that’s not an hipster way to express some kind of deep feeling, or a cultured quotation of Spielberg’s Schindler’s List, but it’s only the third color of the French flag (this color palette was born from Ugo Gattoni’s mind).
We have also two other co-directors: Guillaume Cassuto and Jeremy Pires (CRCR), do you remember his work for Lorn?
I must confess: I’m a huge fan of Boardwalk Empire, and when I saw the live I felt myself in the late 20s, dancing at the Ritz Club with Nucky Thompson’s girls.

You have to watch this music video, there’s a giant robot dancing and acting like King Kong in the center of Paris. Nothing more to say.
