I like american neighbourhood, most probably because I’m Italian and I find them somehow exotic, that’s why I chose the featured image for today’s article. Their peaceful stillness, the beauty of hollywood movie’s normality, the poetry of the form of a cul-de-sac are remarkable. I’m so used to this kind of landscape it’s like I live there, even if I have never been in a place like that.

A jogging man is a common element in this environment. What is not usual are… superheroes. During the past few years the American dream factory brought us tons of superheroes movies in every possible way. We saw an ironic, cocky Iron Man, a dark, mature Batman, a childish Spiderman, three different Hulks and the same number of versions of Superman…

We even saw superheroes in animated version!

Twice!

They became more stereotyped than the landscape i described before, it’s pretty obvious that someone, sooner or later, would have associated these two elements and that’s exactly what Sebastien Loghman and Patrick Jean did.

From a technical point of view this video is not particularly remarkable. It’s done with an average CGI with some nice lighting effect (see the church/superhero factory sequence) but it’s funny to see how different superpowers can be applied to our normal, boring life, plus the song is huge and it’s woth a listen itself.
